In group this month we are exploring Self-talk.
Self talk or our inner voice is the way our brain communicates our conscious & unconscious beliefs. It is a combination of "truths" we have accepted based on our own thoughts and messages we have accepted from others. It can be influenced by our experiences, things people have actually said to us and by what we have interpreted from another persons words, action or tone. Our self talk is also influenced by societal, religious, cultural and gender expectations. The way we speak to ourselves and about ourselves holds power, it can influence the way we feel about ourselves and how we experience life. The first step to changing your self-talk is to notice how you talk to & about yourself.
